On June 30, Joint Association of Boxers (JAB) President Eddie Mustafa Muhammad addressed attendees of the International Professional Ring Officials (IPRO) Convention and Training Camp in Las Vegas, Nevada. IPRO President Barry Druxton invited Muhammad to speak to the attendees at a dinner held on the final night of the convention.

“I wanted to show that we support what JAB is doing,” Druxton said. “This is an important effort, and IPRO is in favor of it.”

“As you know all too well from your work in the ring, boxers and retired boxers have no health care, pension, or other benefits essential for living,” Muhammad told the group. “JAB was formed to provide professional boxers with the respect and dignity they deserve.”
